Arise And Shine For Your Light Has Come

Arise And Shine For Your Light Has Come

Arise And Shine For Your Light Has Come

When you read this verse from Isaiah, I am immediately have a picture of the sun shining and a bright sunny day and a bright future! This verse paints a wonderful picture, if you are a Christian, about how our light has come and we need to shine through.

Isaiah 60:1

Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.

This is a wonderful verse from Isaiah, maybe you feel beaten down, maybe your business isn’t going quite like you want it to, or you’re just not getting the clients you need. If you are feeling low and downcast remember that your land has come and although darkness maybe hovering over the earth, for those who believe there is light at the end of the tunnel.

As Christians, we need to be light bearers, we need to be people who set an example and shine like a bright light to those around us. I believe that our actions show a lot more than just empty words, we need to be doers of the word. I can remember the Principal at the Bible school saying “I’m going to preach myself happy” or “I just preached myself happy”! To me this is such a good mentality to have, let us be shining lights.

We need to conduct ourselves in a Christ-like way, we don’t need to go man’s way and where the world, we need to think what would Jesus do!

I like what Romans 12 has to say; “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

Walking in the light

The world is full of darkness and our media fills our newspapers and televisions with gloomy stories. Ephesians 5:14 says; for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said, “Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light.”

Let us be people who walk in the light and shine like the sun.

Thank you for the reminder from Scripture to “shine”!
As Internet marketers, we have a strange existence: part hidden and part ultra-connected. We work from behind a computer keyboard, typically alone and yet, we can be incredibly influential as we “put ourselves out there. We can, in fact, engineer the image the world sees. Let’s be sure the image we present reflects the Image of our Lord. That way we’ll be sure to “shine”!

    Blessings,
    ~Bob

    1. Thank you for taking the time to comment Bob, I appreciate it! It’s very true what you said Bob, we work alone, but we have huge potential to be influential and lift up others. I want my faith in God to shine through this website and to be a blessing to people.

      Blessings to you Bob,

      Roy.
